Mahi Mahi Tacos
Last year we went to the Virgin Islands and had the best Mahi tacos down by the beach 😋 so we’ve tried to recreate them at home!
Ingredients
- Mahi Mahi filet
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- oil or butter for cooking
- 1/2 bag of coleslaw
- fav tortillas (we used corn)
Sauce:
- 1 container of cashew yogurt (use normal Greek if you can do dairy)
- 1-2 T Sriracha (depends on spice tolerance)
- 1 T avocado Mayo (make our sauce thicker)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- To cook fish, mix the spices together in a small bowl and rub on each Mahi filet
- melt butter/ oil in the pan and add seasoned filet
- cook covered in the pan for 4-5 min, flip over and cook covered another 4-5 min- fish should be cooked through
- To make sauce, mix sauce ingredients in a bowl
- use 1/2 -3/4 of the sauce to mix in with the 1/2 bag of coleslaw- set aside
- leave the remaining sauce to top your tacos
- To assemble tacos, take a tortilla and spoon some of the coleslaw mixture
- add some of the Mahi by breaking apart into large chunks
- drizzle with remaining sauce
