Copycat Chick Fil A Nugs & Sauce
Found this recipe from @40aprons a few years ago and make it ALL the time, so thought I would share with you all!
Ingredients:
Chicken:
- 2-3 chicken breasts, cubed and marinated in pickle juice overnight
- 2/3 c almond flour*
- 1/2 c coconut flour*
- 2 T tapioca flour*
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1 egg
*you can also use 1 c GF flour or normal flour instead
Sauce:
- 1/4 c + 2 T Mayo (I used avocado oil mayo)
- 3 T coconut aminos
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 1 T yellow mustard
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 T ketchup
- 3/4 tsp liquid smoke
- dash of salt
Instructions:
- mix all dry ingredients in one bowl
- beat an egg in another
- dip chicken in egg, then flour mixture
- pan fry in oil til chicken is cooked, or cook in airfryer for 10 min @380F
- To make sauce, whisk together ingredients in a bowl
