Seared Ahi Tuna “Poke” Bowl

Ingredients

  • Ahi Tuna Steak
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Butter for searing
  • Coconut aminos
  • Cucumber, diced
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Edamame
  • Green onion, chopped
  • Sushi rice, precooked and mixed w/ rice vinegar
  • Spicy Mayo (4 parts Mayo: 1 part sriracha)
  • Seaweed seasoning or seaweed pieces

Instructions

  1. salt and pepper tuna steak and prepare a pan by melting butter on high heat
  2. once heated, lay steak in pan on one side for ~4 min, flip and cook another ~4 min (you want the inside to still be slightly rare 
  3. remove from pan and drizzle with coconut aminos for extra flavor
  4. assemble “poke” bowl by placing rice at the bottom, then cucumber, avocado, green onion, edamame and tuna next
  5. lastly, top with spicy mayo and seaweed seasoning
